Imaging Matters was approached by its client in late 2019 to design and build this PET/CT facility to provide critical cancer scanning capacity. 

Despite the project requiring completion during the first national lockdown, following a 12 week factory programme (including the installation of the digital PET/CT scanner), the buildings were delivered to site in early June and the facility was fully clinically operational, scanning patients in late July.

Key activities included:

  • Meeting the exacting installation requirements of the scanner manufacturer
  • Interfacing with the Radiation Protection Adviser on shielding requirements
  • Managing complex M&E design and installation
  • Facilitating installation of isotope dispensers
  • Interfacing with client’s groundworks team.
